We had a debate on the topic “Christians are weak” with the younger Akuouians winning the debate. hee
A. Review of Chapters 1 and 2
B. Historical Setting of the Church in
- V8 contained instructions regarding watching of your tongue eg malice, slander, abusive speech. False teachings were prevalent in the church. In the midst of these arguments over who were right and wrong, they faced the tendency to fall into sins such as this and hence Paul’s instructions.
C. Definitions and cross references of each word in v8 were revised with some verses added/emphaized.
- Outbursts of Anger: Deeds of the Flesh
- Abusive Speech: Bridle your tongue

D. Definitions and cross references of each word in v12-16 were revised with some verses added/emphaized.
- The Extent of Forgiveness and practicing it in our lives.
- Put on Love, the Perfect Bond of Unity (cf Historical setting in
- The Peace of God needed to continually decide as your umpire/referee (think soccer referee) in your hearts amidst the conflicts of life to help you decide what is right.
- Finally the Word of God called to richly dwell among them in all aspects of their life (cf to Historical setting again!) We need to always turn back to His Biblical truth when in doubt!

Dear Glad,
I think there's a slight mistake.
It shouldn't be 'Alexandra the Great'. It should be King Saul, isn't it?
