Prayer Meeting - 21 June 08

[Abby]
- Pray that she will deal with the disappointments in her job and her boss with the Lord

[Chris]
- Pray for a smooth week ahead as she foresees she may have quite a bad week at work
- Pray for complete recovery from her illness

[Denise]
- Pray for recovery from her illness

[Haoguang]
- Pray for endurance as he marches for NDP because it's very tiring and he cannot come out on Saturdays so it's very disheartening

[Huineng]
- Thanksgiving for her new clinic assistant job
- pray for a safe trip to KL (3days)
- Pray that she will not make mistakes at work and also for her colleagues who comment alot about others
- Pray that she will curb her spending habits
- Pray for her as she takes on the role of pool treasurer as her pool superior is not an easy person to work with

[Jason]
- Pray for him to be able to find favour with his new superiors
- Pray for him that the systems he had revamped & put in place wont have to be changed when his new superiors take charge

[Joel]
- Pray for a peaceful resolution in his relationship with Deborah as they are currently in a cooling-off period and are receiving counselling from Deborah's church
- Pray for his grandmother who was hospitalised for bowel pain

[Jolyn]
- Pray that she may be able to complete and have inspiration for all her assignments

[Kelly]
- Pray for discipline to do the many things that she wants to do
- Pray for her as she desires to teach about the end times to the churches in Indonesia and is preparing the BS lessons

[Keng & Sarah]
- Keng and I will be back in SG on friday. Please pray for journey mercy. We'll be on the plane for 17 hours (direct from new york) minus the flights from boston to new yrork
- Pray that we'll stay warm, and be able to sleep well on the planes.
- Sarah's having a sore throat. Thank God that keng's roommate had medicated lozenges.
- Please pray for wisdom as we do our wedding plans and the seating arrangements on the way back. Pray that we will be sensitive to the Holy Spirit's guidance to sit the "right" people together.
- Pray for peace at home, esp when we've been away so long - it can be rather conflicting with our parents at times when we have different ideas and opinions. Please pray for wisdom on how to handle our folks when conflicts arise.

[Kexin]
- Pray for her as she is applying to Australian schools and is looking for a job as a patient services clerk
- Pray that she will continue to surrender all situations and still give her best in her current job
- Pray that she may be able to spend quality time with her parents before they leave for USA for 6 mths on 6 Jul
- She will be bringing her friend from YM (Iris) to our sg in the near future as she is looking around for a sg
[Updates from Kexin]
- Thanksgiving with her MCAT results : did well for the science sections, but kind of disappointed with the writing & compre components
- Thank God for teaching her about surrender. Guess the lesson is best learnt and internalized when she held something so dearly. This strong desire for her dream made her realise how much more she can desire for God, to love Him & follow Him

[Lance & Elaine]
- Pray that they may be able to cope well with work and marriage
- Pray for good health
[Updates from Lance]
- He have been going through rough patches (after his marriage, new role being a hubby, new working environment).
- At times, he wondered why God places him in His school (Geylang Methodist School (Pri)). A few times, he almost gave up teaching. Pray for prayers to tide through the rough patches

[Teng Yu] (he was introduced to our sg by Kelly and joined us for the 1st time and is currently studying at Republic Poly in his 3rd & final year)
- Pray for strength, discernment and time management to handle his final year projects, tests and his commitments (church, BSF, YFC, work)

[Viona]
- Pray for God's wisdom and strength to handover all her projects by end-Jun
- Pray that she will seek the Lord on what to focus on after she leaves her job in end-Jun

[Wanlin]
- Pray that she will get well soon as she fell quite sick during her mission trip
- Pray that God will lead and guide her & Jingwen in their relationship

[Winnie]
- Due to the many major transitions she went through since Jan (marriage, shifting home, change of church, new CG, change of my NP ministry team members etc.) -- the accumulation of all these transitions coupled with the fast pace of ministry, she found myself spiritually lost, dry and emotionally unsettled (coz, of all the changes--). She sense God leading her to seek Him and rest in Him and center-down in Him once again. She had been struggling with quite a lot of spiritual warfare this season with negative thoughts and she know she must stand firm in this spiritual battle. She spoke to her Crusade leaders and they advised her to take some time-off, so that she can have the space to process her thoughts, seek God and find back her center in Christ. This week was really the hardest-hit, and God really has led her to take time to let Him restore her. As she shared with her leaders, staff and students for prayer coverage, I sense God putting back in a sense of hope, faith and love & yes! Joy ;) (Just a few days ago, the darkness was so dark that she thought she had lost all of it, thank God for His faithfulness!)
- She had received approval from her leaders to take time in the coming week to really come away from ministry matters and seek God. She just want to assure all that she really desire to work on all these issues and return back to serve in ministry with refreshed spirit, renewed vision, recharged energy & lead God's people according to God's ways. As her NP ministry season is moving into a Breakthrough prayer season this term, she sense God wanting her to model it as a leader and then come back to share what she had learnt from Him through it all.

[Yvonne]
- Pray for time management in her work (needs to remember many products and is involved in a project) and her commitment in Children's min
- Pray that she may have a strong belief in financial planning (helping the people she meets up with) rather than wanting to just close a deal
- She is currently dating a guy who is training to be an air steward
