Prayer Meeting - 17 May 08
[Abby]
- Thank God that my boss is increasing my pay due to the inflation issue from July onwards. It's not that much but it'll still help!
- Pray that I'll be diligent to save money for my Europe trip! Need lotsa lotsa cash....but saving plan is poor!! Argh!
- Continue to pray that God will guide me to where I can fulfill my destiny. What is it exactly? No idea as yet, that's why need prayer.

- Pray for strength & rest, both mentally & physically.
- Thanksgiving : unexpectedly to be awarded MVP award among the regional best people who had made outstanding contribution to the company during the past 3 months

- Pray for wisdom as she wants to redo her upcoming assignment submission due tomorrow, quite stressed by it and don't have much time as she's only returning to Singapore this evening from KL after visiting her dad
[Keng & Sarah]
- Both of us have been very busy, Keng especially. We'll be back in Singapore 27 June in preparation for our wedding on 6 July. Keng is finishing up his masters' thesis and is very tired and stressed out over all the experiments he has to run alongside writing the paper.
- Please pray esp. that he will get enough rest (he has been sleeping at 4-8am and waking up 5-6hours later!). Also, that he will continue to get inspiration and wisdom from God to finish up. His thesis deadline is 23 May and he is struggling to get the writing done. =( PRAY!! We managed to get more wedding preps completed.
- Please pray that we will continue to find joy with the Lord, and with each other as we do a little more each day! - We also want to thank the Lord for all the friends that He has blessed us with, who have been or are helping us tremendously!
- Please pray for our relationship with Keng's parents. It was recently strained with his mum over a couple of things.
- Please continue to keep our wedding reception and actual wedding day in prayers. We are praying that through our wedding, we can reach out to those who have not known the Lord, and also for Keng's parents to be mutually tolerant (& respectful) towards each other.
- Please pray for wisdom as to how we should seat our guests.
----> Updates from Kah Keng : Just happy news to report, I'm done with my thesis!!! Thanks a lot for praying for me... God really gave me the strength. I didn't sleep for two consecutive nights before the deadline, and then got an extension of 4 days, during which I again had no time to sleep for the last two nights. But God prevented me from falling sick and helped me to finish everything! Great is His love and power. =)Will see you soon next month. Am praying for you guys too!

- Thanksgiving for answered prayers in many aspects- Went to Benny Ho's seminar "Soul winning made simple", have commited to pray for family esp parents for a mth & share e gospel w them after that
- Bro's wedding banquet on 1 June. Sis-in-law's parents are coming over from Beijing coming Thu (22May). There're cultural differences, there's been some misunderstandings & unmet expectations, pls pray for understanding fr both families & gd communication, patience & love among us all. These few mths have been stressful for my bro & sis-in-law.. I'm so proud of them to have handled it all so well! =)
- MCAT: thanks Jason, for suggesting resources for improving my essays =) time contrains during the test is the gr8est hurdle for me now, pls pray 4 time management & efficient test practices this last wk.
- Pray for her as she takes the MCAT exam on 27 May 2008 at 12pm (5 hours in one seating!)
- praying abt joining CCC's crisis relief team to Chengdu in June. Told my parents abt it last night & they're not too keen on the idea. heh.. i've emailed CCC & waiting for their reply with more info, hopefully that'll help to alleviate my parents' fears.

[Viona]- Pray for wisdom in managing time for handing over my projects to colleagues and completing all required tasks before i leave my job at the end of May

- Pray for wisdom and discernment for her company’s 30working hours requirements -> feeling the strain (working hrs only counted if seeing clients and any other form of prospecting. travelling time, training and financial proposal planning not counted)
