Prayer Meeting - 28 Oct
General:
- Praying for North Korea
Abby:
- thank God for her recovery from her abscess removal
- for her workplace atmosphere as her colleague's (she is leaving end of this year) bo chap attitude is angering her boss
- for diligence to study God's Word
Chris:
- for focus at work & for new project system to pick up soon
- for good health as she had been falling sick often & nightly rest
- for closer walk with God
Denise:
- thank God for being able to attend YM prayer ministry GAP meetings on Friday nites again
- for consistent GAP attendance & that her netball training which is starting next week won't clash with it
- thank God for more time with Him now that her exams are over
- for her to still be close to God when it gets busy again next year
- for her diligence to study God's Word so that she can do BS with her schoolmates
Gladwin
- for ability to get back to work next monday despite of holiday mood
- for wisdom to make the right choices 'cos he will be taking up the position of YM Curriculum Head
- to know God's direction / vision for Akuou (& our next BS materials) and YM curriculum for next year
- to understand His Word better
Haoguang:
- thanksgiving for an interesting week where his dad, who just returned from China & is going back again soon to work, brought him to view showflats as they have to move house next Jan
- for his dad to buy a bigger flat so that his sister won't have to live in a really small room
- for his mum who is in Germany (her lost suitcase was returned to her)
- for his studies as his A levels are starting 2 Nov (he's stressed but still coping ok, study progress slow)
- for him to stick close to God & know His will
Jason:
- for him to stick close to God & know His will
- for his studies as his A levels are starting 2 Nov
- for him to find a job after A levels e.g. relief teaching or internship in a publications company as his enlistment date is on 13 April next year
Kexin:
- for God's guidance & wisdom at work & in YSG, to be mindful of words said
- to be able to cope with constant change at work
- for good fellowship on sunday / saturday evening with YSG
- for diligence in next week's YSG BS prep, for her youths to be diligent in their discussion prep on worldview for the Bible history & for God's truth to convince & touch their hearts
- for her sister's chinese wedding prep to go smoothly & smooth flight on 12 Nov
- for her family 's salvation
- thanksgiving for ability to manage time better
- thanksgiving for loving family members (she's excited abt her sister's wedding!)
Lionel:
- for smooth briefing with the air force's 2nd-in-command this monday
- for his walk with God to know Him better & His will
Sarah:
- for good health as it's really getting cold here. She's gonna buy a down jacket (winter coat) this weekend or something
- for strength for the week especially when she's teaching (which is Tuesday & Thursday this semester and everyday for next semester) 'cos she has to wake up early 5am-ish
- for safety & good usage of the car she just bought today (especially 'cos winter conditions might be bad)
- for good time mgt & widsom from God to complete all her assignments (lots of them) which are due these few weeks
Viona:
- to be a gd testimony at home & at work (ability to share the gospel to her colleagues when opportunity arises)
Wanling:
- thank God for her promotion to JC2!
- for people around her who are sick e.g. her cousin, Rebecca, who had leukemia at 5 yrs old & recently had similar symptoms again (she's 14 this year)
- for her overseas Community Involvement Program (CIP) in Udonthani (17 to 28 Nov) where she will be building houses
- closer to God (her deep desire)
Winnie:
- thanksgiving for the recent camps & retreats
- to trust God to set up personal discipleship groups among the nursing & mass comm students
- for a fruitful time of BS prep with Shuying this week
