Thanks dear all for praying for me all these while. I can't sum up all that I've been through, and there definitely had been good and tough times too, but all for my growth and good, I believe :)
God had been faithful in preserving me here and helping me walk through difficult issues. I am thankful for a breakthrough end of September where I finally came to a point in my grieving process where I can finally surrender my past unto the Lord and trusting Him for boldness to face the present and my future with HOPE in Jesus. I am very thankful for the breakthrough as I desire to start afresh! My emotions also have came to a point where I begin to feel excited about ministry and I desire to pour more of myself into God's work joyfully :)
Previously, due to the process which I had to go through, processing through my emotions... I felt very drained emotionally thus affecting my capacity to give/minister effectively. Yet, I knew that one of the reasons for coming to Australia is also to find back my love for God and passion to reach and minister to lost students. Most of my time here, I am ministering to new believers (as recent months, many new believers came to faith in Christ through the ministry). So I was doing mostly discipleship and encouraging the students. Last week onwards, things started to pick up for me as God allowed me to lead 2 new believers (Fera-Indonesian and Julia-Mainland Chinese) in one-to-one bible study (follow-up). It is such a joy and privilege to watch them grow and witness their teachability to learn God's word! On Monday, thank and praise God for the privilege and joy to lead Zoe (Hong Konger) to pray and receive Christ.
I will be following up with these girls and please pray along with me as I desire to complete as many sessions of bible study follow-up sessions before the semester end next Friday, and the students leave for exams and 3 months Summer break. Pray for good follow through by the local ministry. There is a lack of staff and man power resources here. Really need God's sustainance to preserve the ministry here... it has been growing in an amazing rate, but laborers are few. Let's pray :)
Thanks for patiently reading my update... I look forward to be back on 24 Oct, Monday. It's one week earlier than my schedule arrival. Hope to be back earlier to prepare to return to my Singapore Campus ministry. I am still seeking God for my future direction. Appreciate your prayers for God's guidance to be clear.
Thank you! Check out my photos onfor my latest pictures :)
Love,
Winnie Joy
