greetings from Winnie

Hi all :)

Greetings from Melbourne :) Thanks for praying, the weather's getting slightly warmer these few days and I am especially grateful...for the sunshine :) Ministry over here has been slow but good... I try to give my best in each tasks assigned to me. I am also reminding myself I am here for a break too...so don't push myself too much or find many many things to do. Just trust God to fill up my time table each day and have opportunities to minister. As I chose to allow God to use me, I know He will... through my daily interactions with Student Life disciples and new believers and also through my witnessing sessions on campus... slowly, bit by bit, God brings me to people and opportunities to share His love. I am thankful for the opportunity to disciple the current students, it is a joy to watch them grow, esp the young believers :)

Next week I'm going for Women's retreat with the girls in the ministry. I believe it will be good opportunity for the gals to know other gals, and I look forward to build deeper relationship with them too. Pray that I will enjoy these gals as I have been enjoying them all these while :) They are one of the motivations why I chose to come to Australia. They are really a bundle of joy as we watch them to grow in the young faith in Christ :)

Personally, this trip has been a personal development program for me... from emotional to spiritual to social and financial and physical... all these areas i need to grow and develop. I got to baby sit 3 staff kids at their staff retreat last weekend and it was definitely challenging but I believe mold my character and patience!!! i have to prepare food for myself every day...so that's also another challenge and discipline. finding time to spend with God, taking inititaive to build relationship with students, spend time hanging out with them is also something that i push myself to do... hmmm...
my desire's to grow to be a woman who pleases God in every aspect of my life.

Thanks for journeying along with me through your prayers... you are all precious to me :) Really!!!

-to have a stronger desire for God
-pray for discipline in her walk with God
-pray that as she share Christ with her family (esp parents) that she'll be sensitive to God's prompting

-pray for boldness as he reaches out to colleagues & fellow coursemates, for God's guidance & wisdom to witnessing

Sarah
-thanksgiving for a brother Valden who is now attending church & sg regularly; see a change in his life as He draws nearer to God
-pray for her brother who's taking his A level prelims this coming week: pray for strength & wisdom & to lean on God more
-pray for sensitivity to God's leading & wisdom to choose if there's a job offer (went for interview last thursday) whether to work full time & self study or otherwise

Gladwin
-leaving for Israel on 24 September, 745pm: pray for safety of the team
-work: lots of datelines to meet
-problem with colleague: issue with training procedures
-family: dad mad at Gladwin for 'bringing' Samuel to church even though Samuel has been attending church by himself (Samuel's gf complaint of Samuel attending church and not spending time with her)
-accident last week: thank God he's safe; pray for the insurance
-pray for good weather as he rides his bike
-pray that he'll be able to find someone to take over his position for training for YM while he's away in Israel
